GLISC Initiative
In an effort to enhance quality and standardization in the production of Grey Literature, members of the
Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS) in Rome, Italy prepared the initial draft of these Guidelines referred to as the "Nancy Style".
The proposal was formally presented during the Seventh International Conference on Grey Literature held in Nancy,
France in December 2005.
Steering Committee
A number of representatives, informally known as the "Nancy group", carried the work to further completion
and signed on behalf of their respective organizations approval of this best practice. These organizations currently (March 2006)
include:
- Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS), Italy
- Institut de l'Information Scientifique et Technique (INIST-CNRS), France
- Grey Literature Network Service (GreyNet), The Netherlands
Corporate Author
GLISC, Grey Literature International Steering Committee, is the corporate author of the Guidelines for the production of scientific
and technical reports: How to write and distribute Grey Literature.
Adopting Organizations
Organisations worldwide, which produce, process, archive, or distribute grey literature, and which have agreed to implement these guidelines
to the degree in which their organization allows.
